I am really sorry that i was absent in week 1 and half of week 2 so can you pleas giv me the credit for classwork week 2. It was due friday 7/17/15. And thank you for giving me a nice summer time. thanks for Mrs. Noel too for giving me a good time.

week 5 review

                       5th week and last weeks reflection 

Monday: Me and leni were working on lab 7 all though Kyle wasent here and we were felling down But we still programed and did the lab. We tried many codings to make the robot not fall from the table and detect red. we were working hard we tried a lot of things finally we did it. were working on lab 8 but we couldn't finish it.

Tuesday: I wasent here sorry!!

Wednesday : I had to work twice because i had to make up the work for tuesday and thursday. I did lab 9 and leni finished lab 8 by him self. Leni helped me for lab 9. In lab 8 Leni said we had to put the touch sensor and Gyro sensor and they checked how each sensor works.

Thursday: In Mrs. Noels class we read an informational text. The text was "An Ordinary Man" we learned it was one of the big genocide in the human history people from the same country and same place were killing friends, family, own relative and neighbour. The story was really sad and we answered some questions form the test .

Friday: Today we are going to do a presentation on Mrs. Noels class and hope it goes fine for me and jeet. We are going to make the robot dance in a good rhythm and the robots will have to dance like a group.

Week 4 review

Monday.

In robotics we learned how to create a banner for our robot. We created the banner for our team and then we added sound and in the background of the banner. we also learned how to make the robot to make your own sound and own picture.

 Tuesday.

 We worked really quick hand by hand me, Leni and Kyle. We finished lab 5 and 6. we also learned how to take a screenshot in a specific spot. It was fun and exciting and we were trying to finish the project faster then anyone else in the class.

Wednesday.

It was fun and exciting but everyone was scared to do the representation. I was shy and scared at the first time but i did fine took a deep breath and let it all out. I tried my best and it was good. We also gave feedback to our friends.

Thursday.

we were working on our extra credit and we made a report and a video. We were joking and horseplaying still we did the work it was really fun.

Friday.

We were learning about shapes and what will we have to do in lab 7 and 8  and we change the schedule we were in mrs. Noels class at last we were planned to watch a movie but the CD broke and we just ate the pizza and were goofing around. It was really fun.

5. where do the term robot come from?

The term robot is a relative newcomer to the english language, its original pronunciation was "Robotnik" which means forced labor. Journalist Karel Capek who introduced it in hit play R.U.R Rossems Universal Robot.

6. About my robot!

Cockroach robot  is stronger than a real cockroach. It can go through little holes and crevices faster than real cockroaches. Maybe in the future military can get camera the cockroach and look at those places where humans cant go, this is another level of security.

Hello guys the first assignment was what do you know about robotics. To be honest I really dont know much about robotics, Enjoy!

                     What do you know about robotics?

Robotics is a branch that works on programing,building,upgrading,etc to a robot. A robot can't think by it self so a human have to program the robot and when the robot is programmed it will follow the command. Those people who works or studying about robotics they program and builds the robots. There are many type of robots. Some of them works on heavy duty work and some of them solves math problems and many other. Robot makes our life easier thanks to robotics and the community of robotics. In the future there will be a time where people wont have to do much jobs robots will do it for them!

Monday, July 21, In class  we read an interesting article on how robotics are being used in hotel's in Japan. And whats their job like one of the robots checks in and outs their guests and another kind of robot takes their luggage and puts it in a safe place and many other interesting things and the hotel is saving a lot of money because they dont have to pay the robots all they need is charge in their battery and they are ready to roll. 
In Mrs. Ramires class we did an experiment about Distance vs Time. Our team couldn't finish the experiment because the measurement went wrong.

Tuesday,wednesday, thursday, Mr. Ramires was absent so Mr. Cohen and Mrs. Noel take care of the class. We made a chart to figure out how will we spend our money and whats our carrier and what we want and needs And how to save money for our future. It was fun doing and knowing ho will we spend money in our future but some of the students went off control and it was distracting the whole class. It was fun though.

Friday, july 25, Mrs. Ramires was back and everything went under control and Mrs. Ramires was really angry at us the way we behaved and she gave us a chalenge to do the best job and behave the best way for only 20 hours I mean thats a lot but we have to do it. 
In Mrs. Noels class we went over what we have to work an how we have to control our selves and what we have to win the challenge.

Week 2 Reflection

Monday 7/13/2015

In mrs Noel's class we answered some questions on robots. Then we discussed that how does all the subjects connect and how important they are while making robots. We read a story entitled "Night Calls" by Lisa Fugard. From this story we learn that the person is not who he is. Then we got a home on the statement the more you learn, the more you earn. 

In Mrs. Ramirez class we learned how program the robot. Then we started programming the robot according to the lab sheet. We also continued adding body shield for the robot. 

Tuesday 7/14/2015

In Mrs Noel's class we discussed about the home work, the statement the more you learn the more you earn. This means that more professional degrees you have the more money you earn. Then we continued reading the Night Calls.
In Mrs Ramirez class we learned about the Ev3 Brick robot and its sensors. Some of the sensors we learned were color sensor, ultrasonic sensor, touch sensor and gyro sensor. These sensors detect certain colors, angles, touching such as bump, release,or press and distance. Then we talked about three motors, which are large, medium, and small. In this case in Ev3, large motor represents the wheels, the medium motor is used to move claws (hands), and we didn't use the small motor.

Today in Mrs Noel's class we first discussed about the attendance rules. Then we discussed some of the vocabulary words of citing evidence. Then we read an article "New Brain-Like Computer May Solve Worlds Most Complex Math Problems"
In Mrs Ramirez class we talked deep about programming the robot. I learned that green means action, orange means flow, yellow means sensor etc. also we learned about the inputs and the outputs of the brain. Also we learned to download the programs in the robots brain. We learned about the parts of the programs of the robot.
Thursday 7/16/2015
In Mrs. Noel's class we wrote a well developed paragraph on how the technology have changed from 1900's to today's time. Then we discussed some vocabulary words from an article, which is "New Brain Like Computer May Solve Worlds Most Complex Math Problems". Then we did a Venn diagram about the human abilities and the robots abilities. We compared and figured out what humans and robots are capable of.
In Mrs.Ramirez class we discussed about google+ community and how join the community. Then we continued on building robots and programming the robots according to the instruction. This time we had to download all the programs together at once and then show it.

Today we started watching Animal Farm and didn't finish it yet.
In Mrs. Ramirez class I stated program in the Uturn and the figure 8. We finished the U turn and still working on figure 8.

Pros and cons about robots.

Robots are faster then humans but they are not smart as humans till now. In the future maybe robots will be able to work by them selves and humans dont have to program the robot. If robot can think by them selves the whole world will change in manny different ways. Human works slowly but humans can think, human have filings robots dont have filings and they will do what they are programed no matter what. In the future the robots maybe able to think by them selves because the community of technology is spreading all around the world. There will be some good and bad benefits if robot can think by them selves. Still it will be better if robots and humans work together we can make the earth a better place.

                                                  Pros and cons

There are pros and cons about robots. the pros about robot is they will make our life easy and they will do the works that is hard or heavy for us. Suppose, If you are sick and you can't get up and cal the police the robot can do that for you. If you are looking for parking in a busy city and you cant find the spot to park your car the robot can do that for you and save our time and do the work for you if its programmed that way. There will be a big problem if robot can think by them selves. They will take over jobs and there will be more poor people and the economy will be weak. Robots might take over the economy. They can start a a with other country for no reason. Robots will not listen to you as you command they will do what ever they want. But if robots and humans work together we can make the  Earth a better place.

1st week's reflection!

Khye said In mrs Noel's class we read a text on robotics. From that article we pulled out some advantages and disadvantages of having robots. There are many advantages and disadvantages of robots.
In mrs Ramirez class we wrote down some answers to questions. Such as favorite color, music, sport, TV show, video game, iPhone or android. Then we answered how would my robot look and what things would I want the robot to do. After that we went out side separate into groups and named our groups. Then we started using Legos. We separate different pieces of Legos for the robot.

In mrs Noel class we talked if we should use robots in our daily life. Then we wrote about our career interest. In which we had to include the things we will be able to have and will be able to do.
In mrs Ramirez class we created our google+ account and our own blog to post information and homeworks. Then we downloaded the instruction to build the robots. We started building the actual robot.
Thursday 7/9/2015
Today our both class met together and we played a game called Turle Hop. In game we had to Get over the ocean filled with sharks. So we created a turtle on a paper. The Turle was the only way to pass the ocean. We had to talk to the enemies and pass the ocean because both the teams would have been stuck if we wouldn't have helped each other. After that we wrote a paragraph of what we learned  from this game. Then we continued working to make robots.

In mrs Noel's class we wrote a week reflective writing and what we did throughout the week.
In mrs Ramirez class we almost finished the robot and Put in the battery to move the robot. And it actually did move. We got our Jupiter Ed user and password. It was FUN.

Can Robots Think?

  Machines and robots are built by humans and machie can't think by them self. Thats why people programs a machine or robot to command how the machines will work. If machines could really think by them selves then people would not have to program the robot or machine. I personally think in the future robots will be able to think because the programs are being updates and the community of robotics are getting bigger. If robots are able to think by them selves there will be problems with work force. People wont have much jobs because robots are much faster and stronger then humans so people wont have much jobs. if people and human works together the bond can make the earth a better place.
